Electric Piston Compressor AP35

The AIRPLUS AP35/2R piston compressor, single-stage twin-cylinder, is designed to power the MINIMAX® and MINISOFT® soft-blasters. It is the only 4 HP/3 kW 230 VAC compressor on the market (requires a dedicated 16A socket with no other appliances connected). Designed for regular but intermittent use, it may reach its limits under intensive use. For more intensive use, a screw compressor should be used.

How does it work?
The compressed air is cooled to around 3°C, causing the water to condense. The moisture is drained before the air is reheated and routed to the blaster. Result: less humid air, ideal for efficient blasting.
Good to know: The inlet pressure affects drying: too low, it speeds up the flow and reduces efficiency; higher, it optimises the process.
Power and connection
- Place the compressor as close as possible to the blaster to limit pressure losses.
- Use a large-diameter hose to guarantee optimal flow.
- Position the assembly facing away from the wind to keep dust away from the compressor.
Maintenance advice
Regularly clean the air dryer’s condensers with a low-pressure air blower, paying particular attention to the gaps between the fins where impurities accumulate. For more information, contact us.
